2020 was photographically speaking not the most exciting years, hazy skies from forest fires in the west for most of the summer, monsoon cancelled, winter a no show, until this week and today the clearing winter storm with Ansel Adams like drama in the sky. Of course this happens right on a day when the calendar is full with work related appointments. So all I could do is rush out for half an hour and quickly capture what can be seen from home. A second hand tele, long ago devised for the US army to take pretty pictures along the iron curtain is not the most practical solution on a modern camera but still does a great job. The resolution is amazing, and in large print 40″x80″ it should look awesome. We shall see when the print arrives.
