Black and White rocks

This post is a series of black and white images of boulders and rocks only. Clearly black and white is the obvious choice and with it texture becomes the dominant theme. Texture means detail and detail requires large size to be appreciated, which explains why I opted for large images even though I run the risk of making all flaws visible. My personal favorite was a long exposure where motion blur isolated the only rock in the image, it is an experiment I have to return to. When ever possible I try to get close up to capture the detail and texture more than the shape, which suits me just fine since I am not big on using tele lenses.
